Anybody know at what rpm the tranny shifts up automatically if you're in S, manual shift and don't shift, with throttle open. I don't want to bump the rev limiter with a new engine to find out.

Is there any rhyme or reason as to what rpm the tranny shifts to 3rd, 4th and 5th when just driving around town in S mode?

I don't remember exactly what the numbers are, but I do remember reading this info in the owner's manual.

In S mode I believe it will not shift up after 3rd gear, or at least it revs up pretty high before it shifts. I would not use S mode until after the recommended first 600 miles. S mode can be really spunky --even a little scary-- until you figure out the right shifts. The torque that kicks in at around 4000 RPM can surprise you. Don't use it in heavy traffic until you get the hang of it.
