Text Messages

I have the iPhone 4s and the text messaging feature doesn't seem to work..am I the only one? How to get it to work?

Assuming turned on the feature on the car, you have to enable "Show Notifications" for "HandsFreeLink" on your phone.

I assume it's the same for iOS7.

Works fine to receive on the iPhone but you cannot send texts.

I know on my old LG phone, when I reply to a text, it says that it didn't send, but in fact it did send and was received

After pairing your phone, go into Settings > Bluetooth > Handsfree Link and check to see if text messaging is enabled.

IIRC, its disabled by default.

Interesting, when we bought the car the salesman said that Text messages aren't supported for Apple devices so we haven't tried it
they said that only Pandora streaming was supported but OTHER phones like blackberry etc u could use the text features

(which i thought was ass backwards)
