Tensioner question

Can a failing tensioner cause it to jump time?
2016 rdx
263000 mi
I'm taking it in for the second timing belt service and when I started it, it acted like it wants to stall out.
Po175 and 172 showed up. The tensioner sounds pretty rough. Honestly I'm afraid to try start it again.
Any thoughts?

I've read these codes can also be caused by valve clearance being out of spec, too tight. When you take the car in you might consider getting the valves adjusted or at least doing a simple vacuum test to see if the valves clearance is too tight, intake vacuum will be low and gauge needle won't be steady, it will flicker if the valves are too tight, usually the exhaust valves. Your engine has a lot of miles on it, have the valves ever been adjusted?

Update to post

Acura did confirm the failing tensioner caused it to jump time. So don't wait until it's too late.

However I did get a 2025 integra a spec loaner
Nice, but it's no v6
