Tech Package or Acurawatch with Tech?

For those with a 2016 who have either the Tech Package or Acurwatch or both - what influenced your decision?

A lot of tech for a very, very reasonable price. It's a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. If any of the tech saves you from a close encounter of the sheet metal kind during the life of ownership, it paid for itself ten times over. The lane-keeping, in conjunction with the adaptive cruise makes going down the Interstate much more relaxing. You've still gotta drive, but you don't have to be on "pins and needles" all the time.

It's a no brainer for what you get.

Another thumbs up for the Acurawatch package.

I love the Acurawatch with Tech. Blind spot monitor and cross traffic alert in tech. Lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control among with other features in Acurawatch made this a must have for me.

I should add that when we were looking to purchase our base 2016 RDX, we decided to go with the Acurawatch package over the Tech package.

Reasons being it was $2k cheaper, and we put a higher priority on the adaptive cruise control, auto braking, and lane keep assist over the navigation, leather interior of the tech package. I do wish we had the blind spot monitoring though.

Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert work great and are real aids to safety and comfort. These two features, alone, justify the price of AW+Tech. And, having sensors on all four corners is a good thing too.

I highly recommend the AcuraWatch + Tech system. I haven't even used the ACC and LKAS, but the blind spot monitors and automatic braking are worth their weight in gold. I think automatic braking saved me from rear ending someone, and I learned my lesson about following too closely.

I have an ADV and could easily live without acura watch. I have most of it disabled. blind spot monitors are nice, but everything else just annoys me.

There you go. Too many nannies spoil the fun. But it's good to have when you want it.
