2014 RDX with 115,000 km.

Tailgate opens automatically using button on key FOB and from button on dash. However, it no longer opens under power when depressing the button on the tailgate itself. The tailgate unlatches but does not lift automatically. Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

"Tailgate release button" is designed to unlock the tailgate. This button does not lift it.

 

2014 RDX Tech with 126,000 miles. Our RDX never opened under power when depressing the button on the tailgate. We've owned it since new. It has always operated as you described.

 

Same for my 2014 RDX Tech (151,000 miles). I suspect the OP is misremembering.
