Squealing brakes
#43
you have to eliminate all of the metal to metal contact outside of the pad on rotor contact area. I have found that using anti-seize on the brake ears (tabs) the area where the piston(s) contact the caliper, and where the fingers of caliper contact the outer pad.
I have done brakes on many different types of cars that I have owned or that friends have owned and never had brakes squeal afterwards.

After resurfaced the front rotor and new brake pad. No more squeal noise so far. All of above is covered by Warranty.
Suggestion…Take the video before you go, some mechanic may not be patient to find out the issue.

We already had our rotors resurfaced and new brake pads installed, however the same issue is occurring again. Now the dealership is insisting this is normal and trying to make all types of silly excuses.

Mine started squealing (a deep squeal as opposed to high pitched) at about 2,000 miles. I live an hour from the dealership and the day before I took it in, the brakes stopped. Now it's intermittent. I know the accord had a class action lawsuit on their brakes (premature wear), but I don't know if the RDX has the same brakes or what the exact issue was with the accords.
