Can the side mirrors fold in?

 

Yes, but manually by hand

 

And they fold forwards or backwards. Handy if you are using a polishing machine on the doors.

 

They move at a bit of an angle(up/down) as you fold them; so the first time you do it, you think you're breaking them

Our last five Volvos have had the auto folding mirrors...we're pretty spoiled. Actually, you can set them to automatically fold/unfold when locking/unlocking the vehicle.
