Replace rear side window

I have a cracked window--rear (very back) side window (the triange-ish shaped one). Dealer says they don't really fix this, just call in an auto glass place. Part is $220 at dealer, but says it's $270 or so with other parts necessary to fix it. Online OEM options have it for $140-ish (not including the extra parts). Is there a tutorial on replacing this myself? Instructions? Safelite quote for whole project is nearly $600.

Googling, youtube, and searching this site did not help.

Thanks,
Mike Todd

For something like that, you're better off going to an auto glass shop. Look for glass companies in your area that are not Safelite. It may be cheaper. If not, go with Safelite. $600 isn't too bad a price. Also check if your insurance will cover any of this.

I replaced mine myself on another car, shouldn't be that different but will require you to remove the entire window pane and door panel so you can loosing the vertical member and replace the triangle glass. I guess it just depends on how hands-on you'd like to be.
