Remote start question

I'm hoping this is a new question but probably not. My 2015 RDX has remote start. Love it, works great no question. Is it me or is the cars heat/cool system defaulting to AC on,Fan on full,no heat when I remote start? I don't expect the car to be toasty by the time i get in but i find the car is still cold inside even close to its 10min default runtime after a remote start. Is there some setting i'm missing that tells the car i want it warm as opposed to cold?

Before shutting off the car, leave the HVAC on full auto and set the desired temperature. Then, turn the car off. Remote start should pick up on those settings when you use it next time.

My 2016 owners manual says the following. I don't imagine your 2015 would be any different. I read somewhere else that the remote start will automatically bring your vehicle's interior to 72'F, no matter where you left the controls. It will not turn on the seat heaters which is often the 2nd question asked after this one.

My car doesn't have remote start. But the seat heaters need some improvement. If I manually start the car and put the seat heater to its max setting, and go home to let it warm up, it doesn't happen. The seat heater will work ONLY if it senses that a person is sitting on it. Kind of makes sense, but stupid as well, since seat heater is most useful in the first few minutes when the seat is ice cold. Per Acura, you have to endure the suffering of ice cold seat for several minutes before being rewarded with warmth when it's not really needed... . I hope the new generation addresses this issue.
