Acura Remote Start System - Add second Remote

Hi,

I have Acura Remote Start System in my MDX 2010... I just bought a second remote for my wife. There is any way to install (add-on) it by my self... or:

"Add-on Remote must be initialized into the Factory Remote System by an authorized Acura Dealer Service Department" ?

Thank you

After doing some searching it looks like it will need to be added on by the dealer. I can't find anything else that would suggest otherwise. Maybe someone else can chime in with some experience on this.

michalm when I bought a remote from caremote.com to replace a worn out one in my 2004 the service writter did it in under a minute and handed the "new" remote to me. No Charge as I was getting oil change. UNder a minute to add the second remote!

Well,

In my case it takes more than 20 minutes and they charge me $50 ((

and they had to do it twice, because in first time it won't work...

I will never visit this service again

A second remote cost around $100 and than $50 to adapt it to the car? I would have gone to the service manager about it. New car and all.

While in line to get oil change and free wash and vacuum I handed the writer my new fob and asked for it to be added. He walked to the car and in less than a minute handed it back to me.

Maybe the A/Start is more complex? Wow...
