There are lights in the trunk door.
The alerts are a built in function of your phone send from the weather center, nothing to do with your car.

My 2013 showed me weather warning within first week ....my other car with integrated nav/blue tooth etc has not shown any warning over the last 2 years or so ...same phone ...I think it has something to do with the car/nav tech of being able to convey it ...

It's coming from the XM weather and traffic service.

I have a RDX base model so I don't even have XM weather and traffic service but I still get the severe weather alerts on my iPhone.

All the major cell phone carriers have recently begun sending these "emergency alert" notifications to smart phones.

Pretty sure you can enable it or get an app for your smartphone. Still when it makes on your Nav display in RDX, I am pretty sure it comes via XM ...I know my Galaxy does not alert me ..I do not think I care to be alerted at all times ...

Appreciate all the responses, i was reading the above and located the lights.
Dealer must have toggled them off & i was looking IN the physical trunk vs the hatch!

The alerts were more distracting with the rain than anything
But i didnt know how bad the flooding was in the area!

Acurazine rocks!

Appreciated
