HID Headlights - Do you get flashed?

I've only driven the RDX a couple of times at night, but I've now been flashed three times by on-coming drivers who think I've got my high beams on. Does this happen to you?

I've only been out once at night so far, but I haven't had any issues yet

flash em back with your high beams to let them know there your driving lights

seriously, you can adjust the headlight beam by sticking a screw driver down into the adjustment slot.

Look at the owners manual and read how to adjust the headlights, they might be out of spec. Improperly aimed HIDs/plug and play kits are extremely blinding to oncoming traffic.

Glad I didn't have to drive at night to bring home the 450# of cork flooring. The back end of the RDX sank like a rock...pointing the front end up considerably! And that was distributing the weight over the rear seat as well! I would have been blinding folks coming and going!

I also thought they might need an adjustment, however the instructions in MY manual reads:
The headlight aim is set by the factory, and does not
need to be adjusted. However, if you regularly carry
heavy items in the cargo area or tow a trailer, have
the aiming readjusted at a dealer or by a qualified
technician.
I can't seem to find any additional info on adjusting them. Does your manual indicate otherwise?

on my TL the adjustment screws are on the inside of the fender.
you stick a phillips head in to turn the star spindle.
you'll want to do both sides evenly.
left is to lower and right is to raise.

I never got flashed at prior to reading this post. Now when I'm out, not only do I get a driver flashing their lights, I had a few leave their high beams on to blind me. Tonight alone, I had 7 people flash me with 3 who decided to keep the high beams on. One was polite enough to shut off the high beams after I returned the favor.

Happens all the time. A quick flash of my high beams gets folks to turn theirs off.

Occasionally but ......

I purchased my 2013 on 12.31.12, just rolled over 15K w/ 90% of that hi-way miles & I do occasionally get a flash.

After I return a high beam TY nod, the planet seems to realign itself on it's axis & I drive on, another easy day.

After realizing that my low beams were lighting up the top of signposts on the other side of the road, I lowered the driver side headlight just a bit and I don't get flashed as often anymore. Lowering the cutoff of that one light didn't seem to affect overall lighting effectiveness at all, especially since I usually use the high beams when no one is approaching.

If you are getting flashed, I would recommend you take your car in to have the headlights adjusted and aimed properly.

The projector design of the Acura headlights with cut off shield, when aimed properly, should project down the road a good distance with out glaring of blinding oncoming traffic.
