hey all i did some digging and seems like our stock bulbs are h11 and are like 1100-1300 lumens ( cant remember exact #) for 55w
i recently decided to run h9 bulbs that are 65+w which around around 2100 lumens ish
it took some time modifying them and it seems like people do mods like this all the time and extra 10w never ruin wires in other vehicles so i doubt it would for us
i did notice an improvement, i would say easily 25% more light

anyone else doing mods like this?
The problem with these headlights is the plastic reflectors that overheats due to the H11 bulb, which leads to the destruction of the chrome sprayed on it (in xenon versions, the lifetime is 2-3 times longer, but still limited). The most correct solution is always LED, which is colder than xenon and brighter than halogen. By installing more powerful halogen bulbs, you further shorten the lifetime of already weak reflectors.

yuppppp all of this. In your journey to get “more light’ you’ll only damage the headlight reflector bowl which will just diminish the light you already have. Led in reflector housings are a better solution but if you can, do a headlight retrofit to put in proper HID’s or LED projectors, you’ll get the best performance
