Android music supported?

Hi guys,

I have recently switched my phone to the Samsung S4. I was trying to plug in the usb cable to play music from my S4 but the display is saying "unsupported".

Does it support S4? Anyone has this problem?

Thanks,

So use bluetooth connection, it won't display track info but you can still forward tracks with the steering wheel buttons.

I believe the USB cable will only support iPhones and USB thumb drives.

Mine works great with Google Music (HTC One) but I have to use my phone to change music.

And yes, it's over bluetooth connection.

I get the "unsupported" with my Galaxy Note 2 when connected to USB, but the Bluetooth audio works great. I've had goodl luck with thumb drive and iPod connections, though. Sounds pretty good.

Doesn't display artist/title/album? If so that's disappointing. I was in a rental Prius last week and played with the bluetooth audio. I would display track information.

Since the 4.3 update android supports the track listing artist, title, album via Bluetooth. :-) once you get update it will work. I have a nexus so I may be a little ahead of most of you with HTC or Samsung carrier phones. You should be good in six to nine months...or root and ROM.
