I'm picking up my new RDX on Saturday and think I read somewhere that the car only comes with one key fob. How much does the dealership charge for a second one? And is there a cheaper non-oem option that maintains the full function of the factory fob?

That would be very sad if it were the case. Fear not.

 

The RDX come with two key fobs so no need to worry.

 

What you might have mixed up is that you do not get a valet key. This is because each fob has a key in it for the glove box and drivers door lock. This way you just give the valet service the fob and keep the key. There are indeed 2 fobs.
