2016 RDX Headlights on 2014 RDX??

Hey guys I just bought my 2014 RDX and love it, but I'm really digging the headlights on the 2016. Anyone know of some good aftermarket headlight cases that resembles those?

Won't find anything like the 16 headlights that's aftermarket. You could have the MDX jewel eyes retrofitted into your oem headlights but it'll run you around $1200-1600.

Fixed it for you

I haven't seen pricing for the RDX, but the RLX housings are $2000 each and then there is the wiring, electronics and labor.

I just got a quote for RLX jewels retrofitted into my 4G TL and the quote was $1200-1600 includes everything. You can find the MDX jewels between $250-500each side used depending on condition. Usually from a totaled MDX.

$2000 new yes I believe that but no one is swapping new jewels in. Too pricey.

Guess I have to start my search here in Atlanta to see where I can get this done at and get a quote(I would be good with 1200).

Does GA have periodic inspections? If so, expect to fail.

Oh, and kiss any warranty you have on anything electrical goodbye

Can't you simply buy the 2016 headlight unit as a whole with the electronics / wiring and fit it into your car. At least it would be OEM and pass inspections (I hope so). Yes it will be pricey, but you got to pay to play.
If you really didn't like the headlights why did you buy the car? Is this a simple case of buyer's remorse? If yes ...just wait out a few months and it'll pass.
BTW do you have the tech package or the base model?

And then you're at that $5k plus. In addition, you may still fail inspection because it wasn't an option for that year. You'd have to stay away from dealerships if they do the inspections for the state.

Quite frankly, it would be cheaper to trade the car for a 2016. Right now it may be simple - "dear Acura, my car is on the recall list for the airbags. Please give me a loaner - or - give me dealer retail for mine and dealer cost for a 2016" - that'll cost less than headlights.

That may work but the 2016 is under the same recall. Be a hard one to pull off.
