2015 RDX Pricing Thread
Thoughts on this offer for a 2015 RDX with Tech. Package:
$42,301 off the lot. Backing the tax, title, and registration out of that number, the car would be $38,384, equipped with body molding, splash guards, all season floor mats, trunk tray, wheel locks, and front window tinting. The deal also includes three years free oil changes and smog checks.
Anybody know what the accessories' invoice prices are? I know they go roughly $900 at MSRP, but no clue on the invoice price. I get can all of them off the large auction website for $704.25, but that does not include my own labor costs.
Unless my numbers are off, the offer is ~$600 over invoice. I'm not seeing a whole lot of movement from dealerships around here, understandable because the 2014s are still on the lot. I'd go with a 2014, but the discount isn't enough to offset the additional year of depreciation.
Also, for those of you shopping, there is no floor plan assistance right now on 2015s. The 2014s still get 1.5% floor plan assistance, so figure that into your number when negotiating.

We were looking to buy a 2015 RDX also. Around 38k was the price b4 taxes is what we got. At the end we got a better deal with a 2014 with 6 miles on it. I dont know if you are fully hooked on buy a 2015 but the 2014 is the same thing.
I agree. I've been watching prices on truecar.com and the 2015 is about $1500 higher than the 2014 in our are, and they're essentially the same car. The only differences are the 2014's probably have more miles on them from test drives, and the price hike on the 2015 models. I wish there were at least changes to the navi to make it worth the difference.
Personally if you can wait 1 year, we should see a MMY update and rumor has it that there may be an Advance trim and who knows what else; DI motor? 9 spd transmission?
I like the thought of the Advance package, but am not sold on the DI motor yet and the two new transmissions 8Spd DCT and 9 Spd available on the TLX are un-proven.
The TLX and the MMY update for the RDX cannot get here soon enough.

What price are you trying to get to?
2014's are almost non existent, due to Acura's careful production. Always works well, with eliminating leftovers on most models. Depends on your area, but move quickly if a 2014 sounds worthwhile. Otherwise they won't be available.
2015's have been selling almost non stop since introduction, and 2014's are done and over with, except for a few remaining FWD Tech models. In the Northeast at least.
No such thing, or anything that has any affect on your purchase of one. Other than MSRP & invoice, nothing beyond there exists or means anything real to pricing, and is not an issue with Acura.

The difference in sales price between the 2014 and 2015 wasn't enough to justify the depreciation difference, so I picked up the 2015 version. Had there been more significant differences between the two, I would have bought the 2014.
In the end, I got the 2015 for $100 over invoice.

Floor plan assistance absolutely exists, directly from the Acura GM I was dealing with on the sale. 1.5% of MSRP, will probably kick in with the 2015s later this year. That effectively lowers the dealer's cost. They may or may not be willing to pass that savings on to consumers, but it's at least something people should be aware of going into it.

Since the 2015 introduction, 2014's are gone except for a handful, and 2015's have been selling non-stop here in the Northeast. Acura's controlled production/vs. inventory levels could train other automakers well.
Was offered $34,700 on a 2015 AWD Base, which would also include installation of an aftermarket remote starter. Price includes delivery. Tax and title are not included.
This seems like a good price. Thoughts?
I would've been happy to take a 2014, but everyone seems to be out of them in my area (eastern MA).

Info from Dealer on 2014 & 2015 RDX
I just returned from an AutoNation Acura dealer (South Bay, SoCal) shopping around for a 2015 RDX. I test drove the 2015 front-wheel-drive RDX and liked it. Compared to my 2007 RDX, the 2015 definitely has a smoother ride and a cleaner acceleration off the line. It does not corner quite as well as the 2007, which is to be expected.
I asked the manager if there were any differences between the 2014 and 2015 RDX's and he said there are none. The only way to tell the difference is to look at the VINs. He said the 2014 RDX's are selling out quickly as a result, but they still had a few.
For 2014 RDX pricing (w/ Tech package, front-wheel-drive) they were offering $2,639 off of a $39,115 base price for a selling price of $36,476, before taxes, reg and fees. The base price looks high compared to the $38,595 on the Acura website for the 2015 RDX with Tech. For the 2015 RDX w/ Tech, they were offering $500 off the same base price for a selling price of $38,615. These prices were offered without negotiation, although I don't know how willing they are to negotiate since I'm not at that stage yet.
One interesting point. The manager said it is very likely the 2016 RDX's will have Jewel Eye LED headlights, like the MDX, RLX and soon to be released TLX. The 2016 RDX's are expected to be released around September of 2015.
The stock 18" wheels on the RDX are fine but I want to upgrade. I'm not happy with the 18" upgrade option that Acura offers (Diamond-Cut w/ Paint). Does anyone know if you can fit 19x8" wheels with a lower profile tire (say 245/40 R19) on the 2014/2015 RDX? The dealer said he'd check into it and get back to me but I'm not holding my breath.

Just bought our first Acuar....a 2015 RDX AWD with Tech in central NJ.....$37,797 plus $895 destination = $38,692.
They also tossed in eight (8) coupons, each $40, totaling $320 in service credit, which can be used for anything at any time.
I did my homework and knew what my trade was really worth. I am not unreasonable and understand they need to make money and have room. I had a fair trade value in mind, and researched what I could have sold it and got via private sales. They gave me the high end "private seller" values on my trade, not "trade in value", well over a thousand dollars more than KBB/Black Book/Edmunds/Galves values, which shocked me.

Picked up a 2015 RDX Premium (base) for $36,645. Took advantage of the 1.9% financing.
A little bit of envy for the tech pkg but it wasn't worth the money IMHO. Could have picked up a 2014 with the Tech pkg. After living with it for the weekend, I may inquire about an even swap. I have the option. Great drive so far and impressive mpg (~27mpg).

I love getting those high MPG numbers on the highway.
Check for the invoice price and add few hundred to it. Try to bargain the price + extra accessories (mat, cargo tray etc). They don't cost the dealers as much as the MSRP
OTD price should not be used for comparison as taxes, license, other fees are going to vary by state.
You got a lot of balz for a newb with 3 posts, lol. If you know the sales tax and fees for all the states, I would be impressed. Price before these items are added allows others to do an apples to apples comparison, not an apple to oranges comparo, so as you can see, this was the reason for my post, but obviously you were not smart enough to figure that out and you are a real jerk though for trying to call me out....
I finally did it... I got tired of looking at used 2013 vehicles for $35K that would not take a offer.... F them all.
I just left the stealer dealer. $38,000. (includes destination). For a 2015 White/Parchment AWL with TECH. OTD $40,830.55 including 6% FL tax, $499 doc fee, etc... etc. TTL. Free lifetime car wash and oil changes and all the croissants you can eat..

Picking up my 2015 Black AWD Tech for 37,900 including destination this wkend. Off the lot 41k and change. Been lurking on this forum for a while and finally took the plunge. Now I almost hope the 2016 MMY doesn't include much since i couldn't wait. I really needed a new and larger car yesterday (baby on board). My 05 TL was showing its age.

I think most dealers will sell at invoice right now. I know our dealer in particular was hurting. The kid who sold us ours had only sold 3 vehicles in a month.
This thread has not been too active for about 4 months. Can anyone give me a ball park figure for a 2015 AWD Tech RDX if purchased cash up front? I'm getting ready to upgrade and any advice as I begin to visit dealers in the CT/MA area would be appreciated.
