2015 RDX Halogen to HID kit
My friend has a 2015 RDX that has the OEM halogen projectors in them and he bought a H11 HID kit to retrofit into them. When I removed the headlight back cover I found that the bulb inside was definitely H11 but there is a wire harness that goes through the back cover that changes the wiring from a H11 bulb to a different kind that goes into the factory wiring harness. What I would like to know is what kind of plug is the wiring harness so that I could possibly get an adapter/converter to make the HID kit work?
And no, my buddy is not going to trade his car in and get a model that has the original HIDs in them as I've seen some people on these forums suggest to others.

You're talking about the round dust cover with the wires. You have two options. Run your kit with the dust cover left as is and tape back up the housing or drill a hole in the dust cover to run the wires. I used the XenonDepot kit and most of the more expensive kits like Retrofit Source will have the rubber plug in the wiring harness to seal up the dust cover hole you just drilled.
So you install the new H11 HID bulb and attach the wiring to the HID ballast and harness. You will plug your new wiring from your HID kit to the inside wire of the dust cover and reattach the wire on the outside of the dust cover to the stock location. There is no converter at this time as far as I know, so you will need to use the dust cover as the "middle man." Of course you can get creative and take apart the dust cover and only use the wiring but I think if you're doing all of that, you really should just drill the hole. It's not a crazy expensive part, I think like 20-30 dollars so you can always buy new ones later if you want to return it to complete stock.

what should i use as a conversion to fix this
