The FM reception in my 2015 RDX tech seems lacking compared to most every other vehicle I've been in. I'm getting light static, and what seems like otherwise poor reception on most stations here in the middle of houston. It isn't terrible, but it is worse than other vehicles, and slightly annoying.

I've done some searching on this site. While I wouldn't classify it as common, it looks as if others have had this problem as well.

Does your car have aftermarket tint?

 

No, just what appears to be the very light natural tint of the glass.

 

I noticed this is my wife's 2013 this past week. Pretty weird as it's never seemed weak in the past.

 

I'm wondering what this would have to do with it. The antenna is in the shark fin on the roof, isn't it?

 

I've heard that metallic tint interferes with radio / remote key reception at times regardless of shark fin antenna.

 

I could understand the remote issues but causing a problem with the radio doesn't make sense if the antenna is outside the car.
