'15 RDX High Beam Upgrade.
Hello everyone. If i want to do a simple high beam upgrade, without going xenon, what's recommended? I don't like those "blue" high beams. Just want something that's normal white but brighter. I think the stock bulb is 65w, do I go up in wattage? I can always run a ground wire directly from the negative pole of the socket to the chassis, but I'd rather not. Thanks.
You cannot go higher in wattage or it will blow the fuse and/or burn wires, plus the high beams are used for DRL, so not many options, except to change the bulbs for the same type and get one of those bulbs that claim to be whiter and brighter. No HID's for sure, since they take time to get bright so that defeats the flashing purpose of high beams, LED's?, don't know about that, perhaps someone else will chime in about LED options.
I explored this in great detail....went back to stock.

Exactly. The best high beams are those fitted by the factory. As post #2 suggests, the only other reasonable option is to use the "more whiter and brighter 4300 K or similar OEM bulbs. It is not bluish but gives the appearance of minimally brighter than stock. Do you have factory Xenons for low's (tech model) or all halogens (base)?
