14 RDX Base touch screen upgrade?

Hi all. I've had my 2014 RDX base model for about 5 years now, and I'm trying to avoid purchasing a new one and instead, spruce up my current one. One thing I would really like is some sort of upgraded screen/monitor to include possibly touch screen as well. The tech in the 14 isn't great, and newer cars are getting better and better with their "iPad like" screens and function.

Does anyone know of an after market upgrade that can be done that doesn't look cheap? I wouldn't mind even upgrading my backup camera and maybe even add more cameras at the same time.

Lastly, looking into the beak situation, and am having my front bumper taken off and repainted since it's got several chips and peels (cheap repair paint job by previous owner), so while having that fixed, I thought about asking the shop to paint the chrome of the beak either a) same color as my car or b) black. I'm not sure the black would look great, but thinking the matching of the car paint might. I have the forged silver metallic color.

Any thoughts or unput is appreciated.

Probably the best thread with the most information; this is something I have considered doing, but have pretty much decided not to; it's a lot of expense for something that would be awesome, but really isn't *needed*. Still, it is intriguing, and tempting.

I imagine it will take some work to upgrade the electronics in your 2014 RDX. Looking at Crutchfield, they show nothing available and even have the message NOT recommending you replace the audio system in the car. That's Crutchfield's opinion.

I would look for an experienced electronic installer in your area (Not Best Buy) and see what they can do. You will need someone who knows and understands car electronics and how things are connected behind the dashboard as well as how to build a system that fits what you want but keeps the functionality of the car. I'm sure there are independent businesses that can do what you want.

Good luck.
