Tranmission WTF

So i ask the local Acura dealer how much a new AT for a 3.2 is, 5500. If thats the case ill just part out my car and consider it totaled

How many miles do you have on your car? The tranny is covered til 100K. And you don't have to buy it at the dealership.

Yeah, that's a tough lesson to learned....

You might want to seach out an independant shop and try to get a used (junkyard) or have a rebuilt tranny put in.... I know I've read about cheaper alternatives here before.

Or, you may be right about parting it out.

ouch. how long has it been since you picked up the CL? did you buy it after it was repaired or did you put in the wrench time? hope you're able to resolve this soon.

It had been repaired, but all i need will be the transmission. But i don't wanna have the same rebuilt problem- so i want a tranny that can hold more than 80,000 miles. Being a newer Acura owner, i'am really missing my Jeep

Call around in your city, there should be a trans company that can rebuild it better and for much less than $5k.

Yea your probally right. I'm still am trying to save it by doing a really good fluid changing. I did notice a smoothier shift today. so 1/3 of the way done with it.
