Just bought my CLS few month ago and trsnny is died closet Acura dealer gave me appointment only june 30 so I have to wait! Do you guys know for how long I have to leave my car? Will they rent me another car if so which one??? TL?

probably a week or two. probably will give you a rental or a TSX,TL if they have one. depends where you go.

Ha, its not a week or two job. Most mechanics can have it done in 1 day if they are dedicated to your car. I had my TL tranny replaced 2 years ago, I dropped it off at 8a.m and it was done by 4p.m. same day

My tranny went up in march. I had to wait 10 days to get it. They gave me a TSX to drive around. I asked them what was taking so long and they told me they don't keep transmissions around so it has to be ordered which could take up to 7 days. I guess it depends on if your dealer has one or not.

Well I guess the difference was that my tranny wasnt completely dead yet and they were able to oder the part for me when my appoint was. So the wait time is usually atleast a week for the tranny to be ordered, but as for labor, it shouldnt take more than a day or two to pull it out and replace.

it took them 5 days for me, I dont know about the rental as I am way under 25 and atleast down here they don't rent to you unless your that age :/

I think you have to be 21. I will say that the customer service i recieved was top notch. A very happy feeling since i have had to deal with ford on my last car -never again!


Oh btw

When i took the car in it was for an oil change. They informed me of my transmission. They told me i couldn't leave with it. I had just driving it an hour to get there. hmmmm

I am surprised they are letting you keep it with a transmission problem. I would think it could bring up legal problems for acura if you had an accident. My car was shifting alittle rough from 2nd into 3rd. They told me there was no way I could have the car back with this problem. I would call them up and tell them it is getting worse and you want a rental. You're causing more harm then good by driving it. Good luck

yesterday on a highway tranny complitely dead. Now I have to pay truck to bring it to states cause warranty is void in CanadA!!!
