My 2003 5A/t tranny has no 100k warranty?
Just got off the phone with Megan at Acura (800-382-2238), and she told me that my transmission only has a factory warranty of 50k. I got the extended warranty, but still.
If my transmission is replaced, will they cover the tranny up till 100k or for 100k?? Chevy Chase Acura (sales guy) was telling me that when a tranny is replaced, it is given a 100k warranty-
Anyone else have problems with their 2003 CL-S auto tranny???
-Thanks, grey-

I heard that if your tranny is replaced, it will be covered with a 36k warranty. I will suspect that if your tranny is replaced @ 40k, you will have warranty up to 76k for the tranny only.
On the other hand, the extended warranty should cover it up to 100k miles.

Yeah, my tranny is running funny under LIGHT throttle (about 2k rpm), when shifting between 1 into to, it shifts, then revs high, then CLUNKS on a very consistent basis. I am going to bring my car in and show them tomorrow.
It sucks cuz I went by the dealer today, but was told when it happens more to bring it in. On my way home in rush hour I found out about the consistent clunking, not good-

Depending on how many miles on your vehicle .. they most likely will only cover it until the factory warranty on the vehicle runs out (4yr/50k). I've been waiting for the 'fixed' models to start dying .. Acura is just bandaiding the problem ... glad I dumped it for a manual

Has anyone had to replace a "new" and "corrected" transmission? My dealer is going to put a new tranny in prob. this week, but wonder if the problem is "fixed."

Well, I just dropped my car off to have the tranny replaced, and it is the "new" tranny, we'll see how long tranny #2 lasts-
