I have an 01 CL-S auto. This thing hasn't even had an oil jet kit done on it. I'm at 106k. I even maxed out 2nd gear into third gear no problems. I don't want to push my luck and beat on 2nd gear again. It's weird that I have no problems. Did someone do their job and build a solid transmission?

CLsuperhero- I would guess (hope?) that the transmission problem is only affecting about 15-20% of all acura CL's.. I hear some of these number's being thrown around, but I don't know what the sources are- probably just pulled out of thin air. I HAVE to believe that it doesn't affect ALL cars though.... I like hearing stories like yours. I just hope I don't read another post from you in the future about joining the "damnit" club. btw- I also have a 2001 CLS with 65,000 miles that i bought in Aug 2000 with no oil jet kit and no problems.
