Wheel question

Anyone running a set of Axis mod seven or Axis decade with the maxis lip? If so what size are you running and what is your drop? Below are a couple links too the wheel for those that are unfamiliar.

Maxis lips are nice..ever checked out the axis crux..they're not bad either and cheaper for some reason anyone knows why?

axis crux seems to be the cheapest model from the axis line of wheels..

Ok I made my mind up tonight. Im gonna go with thesse wheels. http://www.axiswheels.com/wheels/decade/decade.html
Looks like I will try and order them in 18x8"+48 offset and get the maxis lip. I hope they can do that size. If not i will try the +45offset.

Having issues with my wheel guy. I have dealt with him for years great guy. He is quoting me 1800$ with tires. Now the issue is he wants too order me a 18x8" with maxis lip and +40 offset. Will this in any way work? I have never had any issues with wheels he has ordered me before and im sure he will give me any guarantee I need. But does this even sound anywhere near the size I want? I was under the impression I would need a +48 offset too make these work.

Yeah 18x8 +40 isn't gonna work without rolling the fenders (something I truly do not recommend).

I have the regular Mod Sevens and I love the look of the wheel. But those lips bend when a pot hole looks at it. I would probably stay away from the Maxis Lip in the NE.

Wouldn't the 7.5 be ok with a +42?

Ok I called axis. They only make 3 wheels that I might be ok with by the numbers.
The Crux,Mod,and the Matrix. The highest offset would be +45 and it would be with the 19" on all thoose and only the Crux & matrix if I wanna go 18".I need the Guru's too weight in on this for me. I really dont want the Mod's i know a guy in the area with them on his CL-s and I dont wanna be a copy cat.

Ok, For the second time I just got off the phone with the guys over at axis and I was told that as long as I do 19x8" with a +45 I would be good. And if I go with 18x7.5" +42 ill also be good.

I like the Mod Seven on my car, but I can't deal with the lip anymore. I'll be selling mine in a bit. Those Crux are really cool too, and a lot cheaper.

I love all three. This is going to be a hard decision. My girl however loves the Mod seven and the Matrix and hates the Crux. The only reason i dont just choose the Mod seven is because I know a guy in town that has a blue CL-s with the same wheels and i gotta be original. But what size are your Mod seven? How do they fit? Are you dropped?

Mine are 19x8 with a +45 offset. They fit really will. Never rubbed once. I'm dropped on Tein SS and was on H&R sport springs.

I personally think if you've dealt w/ this guy for years, I think you should ask him what other options you have. Your price range is decent, I think you can get better wheels than Axis.

well I'm not exactly sure what your 'friend' can get you, so I'm not really sure what to suggest.

IMO, RH Evos > Axis.

Yeah true I feel the same way. But its hard to get info on them wheels. You have too go straight too a retailer instead of just calling the company too find out the nessasary info on the wheels. Its a pain in the ass too call a guy that needs too call a guy. I like dealing with the company when it comes too questions, Then I make my order when im sure I know what I want and what size Etc. Dazzmotorsports does not list a direct number too call too get the info I need. And that makes me a lil warry when dealing with them. I guess its because they are so big, But how hard is it for a company so big too get a couple of tech guys too awnser questions for 8 hours a day? Not very imo. But the reality is they dont. So yes the RH evo are a nicer rim with maybe more options and better fitment but with all that said where is the customer service? Just my from the experience i have had looking for the perfect wheel for me.

REDLINEN -

Here's some knowledge I've gotten since having gone through 4 sets of wheels since I've owned my car.

All RH Evo 18s are 7.5 in width and a +42 offset.
All RH Evo 19s are 7.5 in width and a +44 offset.

All you have to do is decide which design you like best and what size you decide to go with.

Good luck w/ your search.

If you like the Axis Decade, look at the G-Games (by Rays) Sidewinder at tires.com. Exact same rim by a better manufacture and it comes in 18X7.5 with a +50 offset. I would go with 225-45-18 tires.

Yeah they do have the same pattern, But there is no lip at all on that wheel. The Decade has lip baby.

if a deep lip is what you're really after than Axis would be the right choice for you. IMO, the lip is over-rated. Lip not only makes your wheel look smaller than it really is, it's easier to bend/crack out on the lip than the rest of the wheel.
