Transmision shift cable and front CT swaybar
So I went in to the shop the other day to get my oil changed, rotors/pads installed, and a few noises checked out. When they were done, they gave me a call and let me know it was ready. However, they mentioned that when my CT swaybars were installed, the installer had put the transmission shift cable (or some shit like that) above the front swaybar, and not below. They said that it was pinched between the bottom of the car and the swaybar and that potentially be very bad, so they RECOMMENDED that I get it fixed. I was in a pretty giving mood that day, so I said fuck it, why not, and they charged me $35 for it. Does this sound legit? Or does it not matter if the cable was pinched in between the swaybar and the bottom of the car? I just wanted to make sure I didn't get jipped.

Oh YES!!!! It goes over the bar not under. I learned that the hard way after work one day when my car wouldn't shift into gear. The cable tore out of the tranny because it was pinched. Why it took 12K miles, I don't know. Acura wouldn't cover it. $400 later the car was fixed.
if it's above the bar, that means it's between the bottom side of the car, and the top of the bar?? correct? I think you have it switched around.
Anyways, I just want to know which way it's SUPPOSED to be, so that I know I didn't get ripped off.

The wrong way is to have it between the body of the car & the bar. The correct way is to have it looped on the outside if the bar. If someone has a service manual & can post a pic of it please do so. Mines a 6 speed so I don't have that in mine. I no longer have my auto manual.
