shock/ spring install: Reuse stock bottom out bumper?

shock/ spring install: Reuse stock bottom out bumper?
HI
I just replaced the rear shocks and springs this weekend.. Do people re-use the stock bottom-out bumper? this is tan collored ellastomitor that looks like a sex aide and sits at the top of the shock piston/ rod.

This isnt mentioned in any of the guides.

depending on what springs you installed you may need to trim that downa a bit.... the instructions that came with the eibach prokit said to trim it 30mm and even had a scale on the intructions to match it up to.

I have tein h tech springs.. should i trim? (FYI I have TL) Springs did not come with instructions that i saw.

The TL forum is a little slower.. the cars are almost the same anyway.
