Where does the spacer attach to? Also, if you're running 5mm spacers with your stock wheels, does that affect the offset you want to run with your aftermarket wheels?
Sorry to jack your thread. Thought this might be answered in tandem with your question.

Yes, I run 5mm H&R spacers. You must have at least 6 1/2 turns on the lugs to use them safely (with the wheel on of course).
The wheels sit a tad wider, but hardly noticeable.
Yes, it does affect the offset of wheels, you can only run wheels from 52+ to 47 ET safely. Or you will rub.

i'm running the same as nitequill, Rotora BBK with 5mm spacer. It's the only way to clear the the calipers. I didn't notice any real difference between the wheels without and the wheels with the spacers. If you get aftermarket wheels, you may still need a spacer, depending on what type of wheels, offset, etc. I know smitty had to run a 3mm spacer with his SSR GT3s to clear front calipers.

Make sure you get the right 5mm spacers. The one's you're looking for are 5X114 with a 64mm centerbore

one more question. Which side of the spacer should be facing outward? the leveled side of the spacer? or the side that isn't levled (the part where the spacer is thinner towards the center)? Based on this site (http://www.ecstuning.com/HR/support/5mm_issues.html), it seems that the perfectly flat side should be facing towards the outside (facing outwards). SO i was wondering how did you guys install your spacers.
One more, i was wondering when you put the spacers on the hub of the bbk rotor, is it supposed to fully covered the hub of the rotors from the bbk (meaning the same size as the hub of the rotor of the bbk)? or is it suppose to expose some of the rotor's hub (not a perfect fit)? Thanks in advance
