RonJon Devotion Type III Reincarnated / Legend Type II Debut.

So, I decided to run with it, The Original Devotion-3pF reincarnated into the
Devotion Type III, a true Three Piece wheel with OEM level quality.

We are going to stock this wheel and it will be available as of December 2007.
Details on finishes and pricing will be released soon, but we are still in the prototype phase right now. Cost will be alot lower than the $900-$1000 per wheel of the previous forged wheel. Keep in mind that the center (face portion) is low pressure cast and extremely strong. The Lip is a Spun forged chrome style and the inside hoop is an anodized spun forged barrel. Weight will be comparable with OEM, but the 3-piece construction will make this wheel look amazing, with such a mixture of materials all together on the same wheel. There will also be miniture badge emblems on the center between the lug nuts and an amazing jewelry-like centercap.

Here are the specs to be released:

19" x 8.5"
52mm offset,
5 x 114.3 bolt pattern,
hubcentric 64.1 centerbore,
Long stem hidden valve.
BBK clearance with a 1.25" lip

20" x 8.5"
52mm offset,
5 x 114.3 bolt pattern,
hubcentric 64.1 centerbore,
Long stem hidden valve.
3.0" lip with a recessed face

Standard finishes:
Chrome lip with a Matte Satin Silver Face

Possible finishes:
Black metallic face, Liquid Graphite face, or Chrome Plated face.

Also, the New Legend Type II 20" is now available and in stock, fits the CL perfectly, front and rear without rubbing, even when lowered. Here's a preview:

Ron,

Major props for bringing back the 3 piece wheel. i really like the design and cut of these wheels. Have you looked into doing a diamond cut face?

Yeah, right now, the 2 finishes are going to be:

1.) Matte Silver Center with a Chrome lip
2.) Liquid Graphite with a diamond cut Center with a chrome lip.

after that, we will have a company over here with the capability to disassemble the wheel and re-finish the wheel anyway you like, even with black powdercoated lips, or masked powdercoated face, anything you can imagine.

BTW, here is an updated revised image of the wheel I sent to the factory just to give it a bit more uniqueness:

Most likely not...the lip is too large.

I like the little "brackets" and especially like the text between the lugs - very special looking. Nice work Ron

right now, 20" will not have BBK clearance. But we haven't even made our first order. We may be able to swap out the 20" with a 40mm offset for the 04+ Tl center, and shrink the lip to get the offset back to a 52 mm. Thats the beauty of the 3 piece design. So yes, it is possible.

the cost of these wheels will be higher than a traditional RJ low pressure cast wheel, so its too hard to make all our wheels 3 piece construction.

As for the brackets, it is a subtle difference, and we might be making some small accents that can be black, or chrome to highlight the wheel a little. The old design was a little too plain to me, and I felt that this minor cosmetic adjustemnt will only seperate the wheel from any other designs on the market now.

Ok, got the wheels today, I must say, very impressive quality and style. I actually cursed out loud when i opened the boxes sent to me from my factory, I was in total Amazement...

On a side note, these will be in what I like to call, low rate production, we will only be making these in small quantities, but still, continuously. We found a supplier that can meet opur demand for quality at lower volumes. The first order which is scheduled to be here in about 2 months, is halfway sold out, but we will be bringing them in every 2 months. Any questions, feel free to ask, and I have to say, pics don't do these wheels justice, they are even more amazing in person.
Pricing and info will be shown here, and custom powdercoat finishing is available even tho i feel liek this finish has the most amazing visual impact.

Behold!!

They will fit, we just have to mill the centerbore by 3 mm, $150 for all four milled.

Ron, i am loving these new wheels, never saw this thread till tonight, and from the originals you posted(which i already liked), to the ones you pictured tonight, wow. Its all i can say. I love how the dark gray accents makes the spokes stick out more, i think it makes them look that much better. I'm digging the 19" w/ 1.5 lip, again wow. Now when my cheap ass gets the money (i need a drop too, god I need to SAVE some money).

Heres to hopping i can one day have these or some legends, i love em both! My god, just.... At the risk of looking like an idiot, You guys are doing great things over there!

Ron, just a quick (very crappy)edit i did to get an idea how the new finish will look on my SSM. Hopefully Super trooper can do it right at some point. Or we could just get a real pic of em on a SSM

Anyways, do not hesitate to have a mod delete if you do not feel they are not appropriate for this thread. And accept my apology for my lack of skills in editing. i Know the center is dark too, but i just could not pull it off half decently, though the rivets were easyer. Sit a bit back from you monitor and they look better.

Before

After terrible edit

For those wondering about the 3-piece wheel and how it works, this should help a little, the rivets actually serve a purpose. There is also the Raven Black with Diamond-cut Machined Face custom finish option:

You mean the sides of the spoke? or what, because right now the face is diamond cut already. We can't do the insides of the spokes, since those area's are recessed. If you are reffering to the area around the cnetercap and lug nuts, that cna be diamond cut too, but that would have to be custom request.

This is a stupid question i'm sure, but i've always wondered. Do these rivets have the possibility of loosening, like and eventualy dropping a few. Just always was a concern i had w/ rims like that. Why not just weld the spokes to the outer lip? Would that not be more reliable. I'm just curious, what makes a 3pc rim better, as it seems people always think they are higher quality than a one piece.

Dosent have anything to do with your rims in specificaly, just more of a general question. you know i love the new design

They are torqued to specific amount, and they nuts have a locking feature. They will not spontaneously come loose unless they are deliberatly taken off.

Also, welding is too permamnent, defeating the pourpose of taking the wheel apart if the lips need to be swapped out or changed. Also, welding is not good for the chrome finish and is known to start peeling. So in the end, the 3 piece wheel has a better finish, it's more exclusive, its able to be taken apart and parts are able to be changed out and fixed or replaced. Also, that small gap makes the wheel look more aggressive, the gap between the face and the lip. Also, in the end, the wheel is stronger and lighter than a comparable cast wheel.

R.
Absolutely no contact between the fender and the tire, because the offset is set at a +52mm. The car has not be modfied to allow this, direct bolt on, and if you go even lower, the tire will just tuck. In my case. I used Neuspeed sport springs, 1.75" drop I believe. Thanks, these wheels are available now.

We are striving to make as many options available to the Honda and Acura enthusiast, with perfect fitment and stunning style / finishes. This is the ultimate wheel for those who want a balance of everythign, from style to performance.
