Rim Size & Offset
Hey All!
It;s your favorite clueless newbie STypeAcura with a question about Rim Size & Offset. Here's the deal...
I want to get 17s for my car to wear in the winter. But I want them to fit properly and not rub now that I have lowered my car with Tein H-Springs.
So what offset can I get away with on 17" Rims? The larger the rim that lower the offset you can get away with? Or is that completely off.
And what does the number after the 17 mean in relation to the offset (i.e.- 17x7, 17x7.5)?
Sorry if I sound really ignorant but I honestly have no clue. Thanks for all your help everyone thus far.

for example; 17x7.5, okay. 17 is the diameter of the wheel and the 7.5 would be the width of the wheel. For CLS if you wanna run with of 17x7.5 you would want to go with an offset of at least +45 anything lower the +45 may cause rubbing depending on how wide your wheel is and what tire size your running and also how much you are dropped. hope this helps.
