crazy brake idea question
crazy brake idea question
I got my front slotted and cross drilled rotors w/ new pads on about 600 miles ago and man the braking difference is amazing. But I was thinking, I have my old set of stock front rotors and while they are current warped, would it make any sense to put those on the rear? They seem to be a decent amount bigger. I can get the old fronts resurfaced for free, and while the rear ones are fine, would this be a waste of time, even if it was possible?
offset is far from being close, and parking brake mechanism won't work (and will be prone to receive dirt and rocks)
the caliper ain't large enough (or you would have to use it with worn pads) disk difference :
9mm vs 27 mm (new pads are 9.0mm of braking metarial + metal.....)
you could probably fit front calipers with custom made brackets
but i'd be worried about brake force balance front/rear + brake pedal going to the floor to have some power because of the large difference in piston diameters, the master cylinder wouldn't be the appropriate size
there's no way you can do this with simple modifications
