RH Evo wheels & caliper clearance

Just got my RH C2 Evos and found out they barely clear the calipers on the front. The rears are okay. I can only fit about 2 sheets of paper between the caliper and the wheel!!! The wheels are 19" with a +44 offset. My car has 12K miles. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm thinking about shaving down my calipers a bit but wanted some opinions. If I have to replace the pads, I don't think they'll clear. Anybody done this before????

Thanks!!!

You can get some shims for the front calipers. Send Web Toker a pm, he has RH C3 19s and I believe he didn't have any clearance issues.

what size tires do you have, are you lowered, and do you rub right now? if you do rub, you will not want to use spacers...especially if you are running 235 tires. the best thing might be to grind down the surface of the clippers. i did not get this wheels for my tl-s for this reason, but they look real good for the price! :P

I'm running Nitto 555 235/35. No rubbing yet, but it's been raining here all all day so I haven't been out much. I've got Comptech springs so it shouldn't rub.

If I add spacers, my offset will be reduced.

Think I may try to shave the calipers.

Thanks!

As long as they are not touching the caliper, you are fine for now.

Mine was the same way when I put mine on, and I haven't had any problems 1 1/2 years later.

Though I suspect that when I replace my front brake pads, I'm going to have to grind down the calipers a little.

From all the horrible negative things I've heard about spacers, I think that's the best way to go.
