Pics of 04-06 TL rims on a CL-S?

YES, I'VE SEARCHED!

I know one of you has a pic of your CL with the new type TL rims on your ride. I'm thinking of trying to snag a set of these, but I want to see what they look like overall on the car.

Thanks in advance!

Don't do it. They stick out like a mutha.

17x8 + 45 is the wrong offset for those wheels to fit right on a CLS.

Oh damn, really? Hmmm...maybe that's why I'm not seeing too many pics! I'd still like to see somebody that did it, just for kicks...

I don't think it looks bad either. You might not rub with a 225 tire on it.

I don't think it looks half bad either, maybe different tire size might do the trick? Ever thought of getting the rims polished? I would look good on black!

If you dont drive like a maniac then you wont rub at all...only thing they hit are the tabs. Ive been driving conservative lately and havent rubbed since, and gotten 210 miles to 1/2 tank with 235, I have a little more security with the sidewall....lets get this straight though....when I say i rub around turns im talkin about the turns that I take quickly and go at an upward or downward slope. like gas stations or elavated/decending side streets.. not flat turns.

Cool, thanks for posting these man! I since had found out you were the one I was looking for with them. I think I'm going to definitely take the plunge and throw a set on my CL. I think I should lower it first though...those would almost look dumb on my stock car!

I'm worried a bit about the rub, but I think I can deal with it (hopefully).

Nothing too aggressive...I was just thinking of a 1 1/2" drop or so. Maybe some H&R Sport Springs?

You think I'd be okay?

Personally I would get the wheels first that way you can better judge how much to lower the car. The other way you may go too much or not enough. Just an observation.

I am planning to get a set of those to replace my stock cl-s rims as well.

Besides rubbing, anything else I have to worry about?

I don't plan on doing any other changes besides taking old rims off and putting tl rims on.

if youre not going to drop it then dont do it. They stick out if youre not lowered.

I just got my set of TL rims, and I think I'll have gap problem.

I mite end up dropping about 1 to 1.5" depends on how they look when I put them on.

Cool! Glad another Satin Silver did the TL rim thing! Now I know what it'll look like.

So, any rubbing issues yet? I know you're not dropped, but that's the only thing I worry about.

And Stealth, when you DO rub, what exactly is rubbing? The inner wheelwell part?

I haven't had too big of rubbing issues so far. The only time the tires actually rubbed was when I went a little bit too fast going over bumps. Other than that I had no issue turning or driving hard.

The ride becomes smoother now, maybe it's because the Michelin tires, but I really like it.

I have a non-tire related question. I used Axxis Ultimate with my Rotora slotted rotor, and the pads are making alot of squeaking sound. Is there anyways I can get rid of the annoying sound before I actually have to replace the pads?

its just on hard bumps or dips and inclined/declined paking lot entrances. It rubs on the outer half of the wheel well about 1-3 inches deep so the outside of the tire hits, where the plastic tabs are right along the fender. ( you get that?) its hard to explain.
