In need of alignment or bigger problem ?

today i noticed that my front driver side tire was all the way worn down to the nylon part, no more rubber on the inside of the tire, a section about 5mm long, almost to the side wall. then i looked on the other front tire and it was getting worn down pretty good also, but the rest of the tire had plenty of tread left 60-65% left. so does anyone know if this is a common problem with lower cars or do i have bigger suspension issues?

thanks

I would have the car aligned. You'll probably gonna need camber kit. Lowering your car causes too much neg camber causing the inside of your tires to wear. Installing a camber kit and doing a alignment should take care of the neg camber and inside wear.

I have this problem also, only my 01 Cl-S isn't lowered and the camber on the alignment came back within specs.

It appears as if the tire is rubbing on something only there's nothing under there for the tire to rub on. I'm beginning to wonder if me in the driver's seat skews the numbers.

camber kit then alignment. if there is a tire kingdom around you or similar place some offer a 1 and 3 year alignment plan where you can get as many alignments as you want. id recommend that.

Just to let everyone know. The OP was from 2008. I was replying to Misdby1. Their car isnt lowered, there is no need for a camber kit.

lol mine took 2-3 hours but my camber and toe was wayy off. at least they were honest and said there was only one guy who they trusted to work on my car. i will say though at least around here in charlotte, tire kingdom is the absolute cheapest place to get tires mounted and balanced
