lowering question?
I want to keep the best ride possible so I will go with the tanabe normal feel springs.. My question is the car has 70k on it but mostly highway miles. Will I need anything else besides springs. Shocks....struts.....exc.....I also might put on a little taller series tire eventually for a softer ride.
get the shocks too.....do it all at once...save you time and money. I recommend Bilstein sport shocks...you have life time warranty on it...and it's a trusted name. Koni yellow and Tokico is your other option

Yeah, with that milage I would recommend doing struts at the same time too. Ive heard good things about those Bilstein's. PM NiteQwill and ask him how he likes his. He's the only person I know of off hand who is running those besides bim6180 above me.
with any aftermarket shocks that you'll get, it won't be as soft as your stock shocks. I've never had koni or Tokico, but BIlstein sport is not rough by any means, It absorbs bumps really well. I live in New England, and the roads here are not the best. I have 18" wheel with 40 series tire, and the ride is great.
If you're not going to mess around with the damper setting, get bilstein or Tokico Blue. Koni and Tokico white are both adjustable (from soft to really hard setting). But personally, i go with Bilstein...again, well known and trusted name...backed with life time warranty... Can't really beat that
Oh...also...do the install yourselve. Nitequill has a great/detailed DIY with Pics and stuff....good luck

yes, you've already had 70k on your stock shocks. If you don't change it now, you'll be forced too in the next couple of months after installing your springs. Then, that'll cost you even more. If you want, just wait a couple more months, and do both at the same time. Trust me, you DON'T want to do this twice.....

don't get confuse...we have shocks at all 4 corners. Althought struts and shocks terms are usualy used to describe the same thing, they are two different things. Can't really give you tech explanation of struts right off hand, but you can do a search on the website.
Anyways, we have Shocks on all 4 corners.
So, get the spring set you want, plus 4 shocks (2 rear, 2 front), and install

yes...just springs and shocks, there are no struts available for our cars ....even if you try to find one. IF you do go with bilstein, you have to get the one for 98-02 accord V6...I think the part# is BE5-6580-H0 for front and BE5-6581-H0 for rear...

or go with a set of full coilovers. a little more, but, you get the exact height adjustment that you want. tein basic coilovers are softer than stock shock/springs. or at least they feel like it to me.
