koni yellow height adjustable?

Before the mods put this in wheel and suspension leave it here because no one answered it over there. Simple question...I heard the koni yellow can't use the perches to adjust different ride height. If you wan't to you have to grind down the metal piece on the shaft? That don't really make sense. Anyone know for sure?

The Nuespeed have multiple perches. I think there are 5 of them. The regular koni yellows have two settings. With the new Comptech (ie. Eibach) springs and regular koni yellows when you have them on the lower setting the rear tire is just about tucked in...i couldn't fit a finger in the almost non existant gap. With the higher perch it was over a finger gap...I'm not sure if it is quite two fingers, but I can see the top of the rear tire now!

Ok I have tein s spring and I just swap from the first perch to the bottom perch (2 perch setup) but I cut away two of my bump stops. Do you guys remove your bump stops?
