K-Sport Coil Covers any good?

I am looking at a set of K-sport coil cover, are they any good? How about comparing to Tein SS?

Thanks!

Talk to JDM5lugHatch. He has a 3rd gen TL and has them on his ride. That's the only member I know that has them.

shinybluecls has them on his ride, pimpin white cl-s had them on his ride.

ask them since you have a cl, rather than a 3rd gen tl owner.

Love em but if you want a smoother ride, i'd order these with lower spring rates for the front and rear (say 10kg/5or6kg)

I was thinking his initial post was because he saw pimpin's BM sale and just wasn't sure if they were any good.

Yeah, exactly I saw pimpy's post of his K-sport, then there is another set of Tein for a lot higher price. I am just deciding which one I should get, you know in terms quality and coil cover warranty, lifespan.

I just never heard of K-sport before.

Ok. Trying to battle the decision in my brain. Money NOT being a deciding factor, what would be the choice, in your opinion, of K-Sport vs. Tein.

Tein SS? Tein SS-P (w/ or w/o EDFC)? K-Sport? Please include spring rates if not the default rates.

My personal goal is to have a better handling car, approx. finger gap, smooth ride retaining as much luxury without losing TOO much performance. Basically I want it to look good without a jarring ride.

Please advise.

If anyone can add in input on the Tanabe Sustec Pro system (retails for $1200); do any board members have these? They seem pretty comparable to KSports...

You end your speech of wanting performance with saying you want to to "basically look good". That's two completely different realms or aesthetics vs. performance. I think you should just get Tein SS-P w/ EDFC because it allows adjustability within the car. Looks cool too.

Sorry, didn't mean to contradict. I want it to be visually pleasing, but don't want that to kill me on an everyday basis. I'm just wondering in a tier of good vs. better as far as a daily driver with good performance, good ride where everything would fit in.

they're already ridiculously cheap for a set of good coilovers....btw the tanabe sustec pro's are not as good imo. softer spring rates + no pillow upper mounts.

tein ss spring rates are 7kg/4kg front rear
ksport spring rates are 13kg/7kg front rear

I heard the same thing as well. just different colors. But i went with the Ksports because i got a better deal on them.

I like my K-sports, if you were to compare them with Tiens they're probably comparable to the Flex.

I read somewhere about corner balancing them. Has anybody done that? is there a big improvement?
