The DIY is really easy. Search for NiteQwill's DIY.

Chris, I don't know about really easy, but it can be done DIY. Personally this is the one mod I really hate to do. But now i have 2 impact guns i use ont eh spring compressors, so it goes pretty quick. Doing it by hand is a work out.

Well, I guess when I did mine it was my first time ever doing springs and I was a little hesitant. Turned out to be really easy (to me) and I was worried for nothing. Air tools will definitely make the job go much faster for sure. That's what I used.

If you can borrow, beg or steal a Helm's and we can find someone who has done it, I can get you on base. Lifts, spring compressors, big tools, small tools....it's all there for the using. We'd just have to figure out a good time and get there early. I'd like to wait on Jeff(Snowman81) to come up and help me with my coilovers but I realize he's a busy guy. You never know what beer and pizza will buy you though.

Hey, maybe we can do a "double spring install"? I'm trying to get some installed as well, but am a bit scared to try on my own. (the thought of a spring compressor frightens me)

I'd gladly buy a case of the finest microbrew I can find and a few loaded pizzas for anybody who's willing to help!

Still need those done? Could probably help you out...second hand that is. Bring the food and spirits prior to. What kind of hardware are you looking to get put in?

I'm willing to help out too. I've got mine installed, I also have a friend with a good shop in ft. meade if you're interested. I did my install with a friend so I can "micromanage"(haha) if needed. If you guys need any help, give me a holler.

I'm definitely still interested! I don't even have springs or shocks yet, but just knowing that I could get some help from you guys, I'll buy them ASAP! I was honestly thinking of just getting some Pro Cup Springs or maybe some H&Rs (and just going with stock shocks for now), but I know that I should probably do them all at the same time). Any of you running stock shocks with aftermarket springs?

Cool, good to know.

Which springs did you get, and where did you get them installed? Did you get a good price? I'm not trying to be cheap, but I'd like to find a good quality shop around here that won't gouge me.

I got the Tein S-tech springs. I would suggest getting coilovers though so that you have the proper spring and compression rate for each set (Just make sure they go on the right way). Or if you are cheap just get the springs. I had a lot of help installing my springs from a couple of peeps at the last meet so I dont know what the pricing really is.

i was on comptech springs on stock shockers and it was ok at first, but the quality really deteriorates. and our roads around here are pretty good for the most part, but it just takes a couple of those bad potholes and bumps to get your shocks worn down. let me be the first to say you should buy/install shocks/springs at the same time if at all possible. i'm in the rockville/potomac area, so if anyone needs me, shoot me a pm.
