Finally dropped but having some issues

Okay so after the drop I have encountered some problems.

problem one:
The rear clicks when going over bumps and what not, the guy at the alignment shops says my endlinks are hitting. Hmmm, not sure what to make of this. I have a progress rear sway bar, and I was going to order moog endlinks for it but I have read that they hit when you are slammed, I am by no means slammed, and my stock endlinks are already hitting! No bueno!

problem two:
After the alignment the car still pulls pretty heavily to the right, not sure what this could be, everything on the front was green and good to go camber wise, but the rear was -2 degrees rear left and -1.9 degrees of camber rear right. SO not sure how bad this is, havent gotten a chance to look it up yet.

SO, will I have problems swapping the rear sways with new bushings and endlinks? Will the Moog's be okay? And should I order the ingalls rear camber kits?

Also, I am planning on getting a set of rj servos from another member, with my current drop will I need bumper tab trim and rolled fenders? specs: 18x7.5 ET42. Not sure what tire size he is running.

Thanks all!

-John

Camber wont really make the car pull to one side or the other. The specs to look for are toe and caster. Both effect steering.

Yeah I am not too worried about the alignment, main concern is the clunk and if the new sway bar is gonna be a worse clunk?

Its odd that they are hitting. Are you 100% sure thats what is happening? Its likely that the bushings and end links that are on the car are worn, and thats what is making the knocking noise.

No def not 100%, thats just what the the guy said. There was no noise before the drop though and now a clunk, its weird.

Did you have Progress RSB before lowering suspension? Here's some pics of what Progress RSB did to my stock suspension.
(not pictured) the part of subframe where Dbracket holds bushing and RSB to car is cracking on the passenger side.

I took of the RSB because the D bracket on right side snapped and was making a thud and clank when I went over any type of bump, hole, pebble.

The arm that the end link attaches to was basically ripped in two on the driver side.

Another angle.

I would park the car over a curb, being very careful get under it and get a very thorough look at ALL the parts that could be affected. Or get it on a lift if you have one, it was easier to go over a curb and slide under the car than to jack it up.

I also have Moog end links, these are def a quality product, but because I took out RSB they just hang from the strut mount arm until I install my supercup kit and weld up that crack on the passenger side.

Okay so I was leveling out my drop today and adjusting the ride height and I discovered that my drivers side front sway bar endlink is just hanging, completely detached from the suspension assembly. When driving with the windows up it sounds like all the clanking is coming from the rear, but as the weather is warmer i tested the car out with the windows down and discovered that it is two separate noises, a loud bang from the front and a soft clank in the back (as if the exhaust was hitting something while it sways, not sure if the drop could have caused this) when going over bumps.

My questions for this new problem is, 1.) how driveable is this car with the front sway only attached on one side? Could I take the car on a 400 mile trip safely with this problem?

Why cant you just bolt the endlink back up? Its still derivable, but Id disconnect the other side. If you dont, youre putting uneven stress on the bar, bushings, and brackets. Not to mention it could bind and thats not a good thing at all.

Well the endlink is just hanging there and the cup at the end with the four holes in it is empty, and the four plastic bits that go through the holes have like snapped it looks like. I know this is a terrible description but I am trying!

so to sum things up, it looks like the inside part of the endlink (kept in the cup part by the four plastic bits) has seperated from the actual metal bit and now is just attached to the suspension assembly. I would unbolt the other side but the thing is rusted on there pretty good and it doesn't look like it will come out very easily.

If the sway bar isnt that necessary then where the hell is this clunk coming from?

The bar is necessary, but you can drive without it. And the clunk is probably coming from it.

Thanks man, sorry about all the questions and shit, just a little frustrated. I knew that this car had a lot of rust but I just sucks when you do something to one thing and then another thing breaks because of it. I can Imagine this is common but I am still learning how to work on cars. I just wanted to drive my baby before I went away lol. shit

So since both of my sway bars are shot and clunking, I was thinking that I might be better off ordering the einach front and rear kit from xclr8. Thoughts? This comes with new endlinks and bushings I believe so it would solve all problems (hopefully) and increase the performance. Loving my teins though, huge improvement.

You only need endlinks and you have a Progress RSB already. If I remember correctly, the Eibach front bar is not much bigger than the stock and the rear is smaller than the Progress (maybe same size). If anything, I'd say just get the endlinks, Moog are highly recommended and are almost double the girth of the stock ones. ~$90 for all four corners.
Looking at this link, the endlinks are NOT included with the kit so you gotta buy endlinks anyways.

Much less work involved. The Progress bar is the largest on the market @ 24mm.

Word, I cant tell if FwC is for or against the progress bar, I dont have one, I was debating between one and a ct bar from another member. I will try and get new endlinks and hope my front bar doesnt bind. Fingers crossed that this stops the noises

Hah, I am for it. I would just recommend not using it unless you have a sport suspension that will limit the stress that it will put on things like the end links and brackets. I'm driving without a rear sway bar for now until i put on new suspension.
