If you have a basic socket set and a jack you can do it yourself...

i had never done anything to suspension before ordering the coilovers for my ford probe and everything turned out amazing actually. just needed a shit load of work done to get the alignment to be perfect since all the bolts were rusted and then broke.

HOW low are you gonna go????

It took me about 4.5 hrs to swap in the K-Sports and thats including setting the ride height to what I wanted.

Granted, Ive swapped out coilovers on other cars prior to this, its still straightforward. Its not like swapping springs where you have to compress the spring, pull the top hat off and reinstall. Its the whole unit that youre swapping in. You do need to pull out the back seats though, which sucks.

The way I got both sides as close to even as possible was I tightened the shock body all the way. Then Id loosen them and count the turns. That gives you a good baseline for getting the car level. If you want to take it a step further you need to park the car on perfectly flat ground. Make sure the tires are filled to proper PSI all around. Measure from the ground to the fender and make the neccessary adjustments to get them even side to side.

If you do need to make some adjustments, move the car backwards and forwards to get the suspension to settle before measuring.

Dont forget to take the car for a spin and see what dampening setting you like, because once you reinstall the rear seats you cant access the adjusters.

Yea, you need to un-do the bottom of the shock body (unbolt it from the lower control arm) and adjust.
