Excelerate Performance: XLR8 Coilover Groupbuy!!!

Excelerate Performance is proud to announce the release of a new coilover line for the Acura lineup. We have worked closely with ISC suspension to design coilovers for the Acura TL (2nd, 3rd and 4th gen), TSX (1st and 2nd gen), RSX, and NSX. We have become the exclusive distributor in North America for the Acura models, thus making them XLR8 coilovers manufactured by ISC. So what are ISC coilovers and what are the benefits?

The ISC N1 Coilover is an affordable high performance damper system which offers excellent performance and high quality at a reasonable price. ISC offers suspension solutions for various auto manufacturers including BMW, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen, & more! But we are going to focus only on the Acura lineup.

All coilover setups come with a 12 month warranty to put your mind at ease; if the product fails in any way in the first 12 months we will pay all postage, labor and parts costs to fix the issue, and in minimal time. If our product fails after that initial 12 month period we will replace the product at trade price!!

The N1 coilover can be lowered approximately 3 inches lower then standard ride height. The spring rates are set up specifically to suit your car and therefore will improve handling and stability dramatically. We can make packages for track/rally/drag and of course street. Our lineup will specifically be designed towards the street/sport customer. However, to offer more flexibility we will offer the option for custom spring rates at no extra charge. This will require extra time but not for this initial stocking order.

ISC N1 Coilover

So, we will be submitting our initial stocking order for these coilovers in the next few weeks. Those who participate in this Groupbuy will receive a significant discount for being part of the first shipment, which will take 4-6 weeks to arrive. These coilovers list out for $1250 for the set. We will be selling them for $950 plus shipping after the initial stocking order. But in order to get our first stocking order in we want to offer an introductory price of $850 shipped to the cont 48 US. This saves the average customer about $150. If you are interested please create a list.

I would like to get at least 10 people on this first batch. I have to order at least 20 sets so half would be good. Of course there can be more than 10 or 20. And anyone who joins now gets the sales price. Once I get a list I will require a deposit of $200 the week after. The final payment will be due the week the parts arrive, which is 1-2 months from the date of order. So let's set a date for the list to be compiled by of Tuesday, January 24th. Deposits of $200 will need to be in by Tuesday, January 31st.

Deposits will need to be made to excelerate@sbcglobal.net via Paypal and you will need to include your vehicle info (year, make, model) and desired spring rates (Street Comfort, Street/Sport or Track/Race). We recommend the Street/Sport. This is what 80-90% of customers order.

Feel free to ask any questions too.

List (please write your SN and whether the deposit has been paid):

1.
2.
3.

etc etc

Actually on the 2G CL/TL it should be able to lower the car about 3.5" so yes you will be able to slam the car.

I'm new to coilovers but how do you adjust these? I'm assuming the tires need to be off and you use some sort of wrench right below the spring section

I may jump on these as my Illumina's and H&R are old and feel outdated.

Wheels off, loosen strut fork, loosen lower lock-rink, turn lower portion of the shock body to desired height. Dont touch the spring perches.

The damper adjustments are knobs at the top of the strut body. You can pop the hood and adjust them on the fly. The rear requires the seats to be removed or a hole in the decklid.

See the post below. It is spot on. You adjust the ride height on these coilovers by adjusting the lower housing, not the springs. This allows you to keep the spring pre-loaded.

Forgot to add - the rear does require the lower housing to be unbolted from the lower control arm.

If you look in the 3rd gen TL suspension section there is a thread from the customer who initially installed them.

I'm having trouble with the RSB (Progress) destroying my rear suspension parts. Can/will this coilover help reduce stress on parts relating to the RSB?

Im assuming the RSB is snapping the end link brackets?

Coil overs will help.

snapped rsb bracket, snapped the arm that connects endlink to strut tower. tearing metal in subframe where rsb bracket mounts.

These would probably work great to help this problem

I just reposted this in you thread, but Ill post it here too:

Basically, instead of setting up the suspension to work in unison, you put a much stiffer bar in the rear (thats what she said!), which is now trying to work against the suspension, not with it.
