Battery light just came on in my Cl 99 139,000 miles and never had a problem.
Does this mean I need new altonator and what do they cost. or is it a battery.
I'm afraid to drive my car to work. PLease someone answer.

However, I think it's the alternator. When my battery died, I had Acura completely check the electrical system. They said that if the battery light comes on, it means the alternator is not charging the battery. This was for a second gen CL-s.
