235 ? Feedback

I know many of you run 235/45/17 on your CL's....Before I pull the trigger on a set, can I get some feedback?

1. performance? handling?
2. preferred brands?
3. MPG? good bad? no change?
4. looks? I have seen some pix of Fuzzycl's car and they look sweet...feel free to post yours!
5. wild card! say anything you want about them!

always welcomed

Don't think there's much more to say that hasn't been covered.

You only want 40 if your running 18's. The correct size for 18" is 235-40-18.
You could run a 40, but your drop better be damn low cause a 40 will leave mega wheel gap.

I have 235/45/17. I have Goodyear F1 All Seasons. I love these tires. I don't know if I have lost Gas Mileage, I'm waiting till summer to see. The Grip on these tires is insane, and they work really good in the snow.

Hey Fuzzy, did you have any problems getting them mounted on your stock wheels? Only reason I'm asking is because every where I look online says you need a minimum 7.5" wide wheel. I'm going to need new tires in the summer and my Accord 6mt has the same size stock wheels as the CL-S, 17x7, but I want to go with the 235/45s instead of the 215/50s. I'm planning on going to Discount Tire so I'm just wondering if they're going to give me a hard time about the wheels not being wide enough.

Nope. And that's with 3 different sets of stock Acura 17's & 4 different brands of tires.
