19x8.5 MRR HR2
I am thinking about buying these wheels this weekend and came across the thread below.

This post stands out to me on the thread,
After some internet searching I found a guy with the same size wheels and offset and his doesn't seem to stick out & look dumb.

Am I over analyzing fuzzy02CLS's post and they will fit fine with 235/35/19 tires on a stock suspension? The silver one in the pictures seems to fit perfectly fine to me. any assistance before I purchase these wheels and tires is greatly appreciated.

This post stands out to me on the thread,
Too wide, & offset too low. They will fit if your not lowered, but will stick out & look dumb. I suggest looking here for detailed info on what fitments will fit....

you should be fine. My last set of Ron Jon DT3's was 19 x 8.5 +40 offset all around and I was fine and cleared RL calipers. I did have to roll the rear fenders and shave bumper tabs to minimize rubbing. I was pretty low though on adjustable coils.
My new set is 18 x 8.5 +45 offset, Aspecs and they too clear fine and I'm now rubbing slightly less than before and still lowered.
235/35/19 is the correct size to keep odometer accurate. If 18's, then 235/40.
FWIW, the one point I would agree on is that it will look a bit silly unless you lower the car, even slightly. Aftermarket wheels on stock suspension is painful to the eye and the 4 inch gap will only look more pronounced and noticeable with aftermarket wheels. plan to drop it, even if you just go with springs for a subtle drop over slamming it with coils, any drop will help you pull this look off without it looking silly.
see my picture thread below for examples of both wheels, how they looked, cleared bbk, width, etc.

And while I said you should clear BBK, the offsets over 30-40 will generally clear BBK but the spoke patterns and angles can be tricky and some won't. Even lower offsets will clear, so hard to be sure unless you can test on your car or if you can find out, see if the wheels will clear Brembo calipers on an 06 TL and if so, then you will be fine.

After a few days of thinking this through your post made me realize I need to hold off. Not having the car lowered would look horrible and springs aren't enough, tein coils then wheels then bbk. I saw these wheels with tires on CL for $690 and the excitement of wheels made me miss the big picture. The a spec wheels you have now work really well with our cars but your last wheels are saucy!
She's getting alignment, tires rotated and rotors machined today to get rid of vibration braking at high speeds. I've only had her a few months and after power steering pump replacement and all three pulleys replaced with UR products, the timing belt will be done. I want her cherry before I start really modding.
