called acura dealer about the srs light and how i got a letter , i gave them my vin number , and they told me they would check it out but i would have to pay $100 if the extended warranty didnt cover the part that was bad, if the part was covered i wouldn't pay anything ,are they trying to get me :anno yed:

you know, oddly enough that's what they told me for my egr warranty, wanted $100 if it wasn't covered. weird. mine ended up being free though.

Dude i was getting my brake lamp check done today and when the guy switched on the ignition, the srs light came and stayed on and he asked me about it and i told him that was the first time iv ever seen it on. Anyways he scanned my system and turned it off for like 20 bucks. So just try going to a shop. Screw the dealer cuz they're just after your money...

 

Damn opds! You can keep on reseting it manually throug the service plug and observe in what circumstances srs reapears. If you think that passanger, or object on passenger seat does that , it will be opds fault, which is covered by the recall.

 

Has your battery been weak? A weak battery caused my light to come on. Reset it myself with the reset procedure thats posted on here somewhere... it took 1 minute and no $
