Throttle body spacer?

Hello.

I was looking for the T/B gasket on the web. The space was on the OEM catalog. However I don't think mine (01 CL) have it between T/B and intake manifolder. What does the throttle body spacer do?

Thanks.

are you talking about an aftermarket TB spacer or OEM spacer?

If hes talking about the OEM parts diagrams, he may be getting confused with the VSA body and the throttle body. But his 01 should have that.

the throttle body should have a stock paper gasket in between it and the im. if thats what you are talking about. it looks green and is really thin. doesnt really do much in my opinion except for cause alot of pains when seperating the tb from the im. mine got stuck to both the im and the tb and i had to use a screwdriver to seperate the two. maybe if anything it would hinder heat transfer slightly?

lol.. when i did my P2R tb spacer I only got one thermo gasket. So I just got rid of the original gasket, put in the thermo between the Im and TB spacer, and on the other side it's tb spacer to TB, and it sealed up noooo problem.

I am talking about the OEM spacer. Do I have it? I cleaned the intake manifold up a week ago but there was not spacer between T/B and manifold. Anyway what is the benefits of aftermarket spacer?

Thanks.

tb spacer increases air volume going into ur manifold and decreases intake temperatures.

there is not tb spacer on the car stock, it's just a paper thin gasket.

A tb spacer reduces intake temps and then u got thermo gaskets to create a heat transfer barrier if u will. and it increases volume slightly, so it will give u something for sure.

I bought a TB and IM manifold spacer from outlaw engineering..

http://www.outlawengineering.com/hondajframe.html

I also cleaned out my IM while installing.. Car did respond better after instalation but not sure if it was from the spacers or cleaning all the crap outta my EGR port and Intake manifold!

I dont think Ive ever seen the spacer in any diagrams. Its a good possibilty that whatever site you got the diagram from screwed up. I ran a search on the PN and it came up for the Odyssey.
