Im installed on TEIN SS-P... lowered all the way... been hearing a banging noise in the engine everytime i go over like a bump. Since i got into a accident, i finally had it up in the air with the fenders off and saw that the upper control arm is hitting the underside of the strut tower. Is anyone else having this problem? How did you overcome this problem without having to raise the car up?

Thanks in advance... been searching, but no one has had this problem.

 

this problem is because the spring is loose, its not designed like other coilovers to hold the spring up. when you adjust the teins the spring gets lower and lower and the clunking noise is from the spring jumping up and down. im not sure about the upper control arm never had that problem and i installed it my self on my car and hey suse's car.

 

hmmm... im positive its the upper control arm, cause i have this indention's in my strut tower... >_<. how low are you?

 

i was all the way down front and rear and i took off one locking ring.

 

hmmm... i guess i should reinstall the coils... weird... it seems like im the only one with this problem....
