It appears to happen when the car has sat overnight in the cold, but over the past week, when turning right I hear a dull clicking/knocking sound from the front right. I don't hear a thing turning left.
Any thoughts?
Went to my mechanic, and things were much worse than expected. The car frame is very rusted, to a point that my mechanic said he would not touch it. He mentioned that cars from the midwest or northeast look like this more times than not, unless the owner actually knew how to take proper care of the underbody.
He was amazed that the car is so clean inside and to the naked eye, but in such bad shape underneath. Luckily I have another car, but I now don't know what to do with the CL I bought just 3 months ago.

good lord that is awful! I drive my car in the winters here in MN but I usually spray the under body every Friday mine looks mint underneath
I got a second opinion from another mechanic after work today, and he said honestly the cost to replace wouldn't be worth it in his view unless i just LOVE the car and was willing to put a few grand in it for this
thats totally fixable for way less than a few grand. I did my engine sub frame and only cost about $200 from a salvage yard on eBay. If you know how to work on your own at then it’s really not that difficult. There’s a lot to take apart on it and some pretty tight spaces but it can realistically be done in an afternoon. If you are still wanting to get it done I can help you with that, and I can go through in detail what I did to change mine out if you like.
