plug in com showing mis on several cylinders

plug in com showing mis on several cylinders

i need help.. my friends plug in com keeps showing mis-fires on different cylinders everytime. could this be due to the neg batt. cable being loose?

First step is tighten that negative cable.

What cylinders?

did that, going to change it with the oil and lube next week. the usual cylinders are 3&6 but it'll through 4 in there also. and like i said before sometimes it will say multiple misfires???

Swap the #3 coil pack with the #5 coil pack and see it still misfires on 3. If it moves to 5, you have a bad coil pack. Do the same for #6.

If it stays on those cylinders, spark plugs could be fouled, injectors could be clogged, valves could be out of spec, or worse, they could be bent (off that it would happen on only 2 cylinders though).

just put new plugs in (NGK Iridium Plats) so i guess i'll try to swap the coils. i saw oon here on another thread though that some guys have the same 03 type s like me and thrirs do it too. one guy changed out everthing and it still thew the CEL?

It happens, one member as well as myself have the occasional random/multiple misfire (but across all cylinders, not specific ones), but the car doesnt run any differently. I just clear it and live with it.

that's what we've been doing to it. the computer says everthing is fine as far as air/fuel ratio and all the other things the computer checks, too much to list but it says its fine........so i digress and will do like everyone and keep turning it off till the motor shuts down.
